HANYUAN, CHINA: A pupil studies at the Gulu village elementary school which stands on a cliff at an altitude of more than 1400 metres above the Dadu River valley along the way at the edge of the cliff,Yongli town,Hanyuan county,Sichuan Province, China, June 14,2010. There are 54 students and only one substitute teacher in the secluded Gulu elementary school without electricity, water and postal service. Shen Qijun,a 46-year-old man, the only one substitute teacher has taught farmers` children here for 27 years.The schoolchildren take more than two hours to go to school every day and have two meals a day.
